This volume consists of two distinct versions of the novel. Throughout the novel, you feel for both Frankenstein and the monster itself, and the ending is sorrowful that part of me is hoping that Shelley may have written a secretive sequel to Frankenstein that is yet to be found.

The narrative was dull (although I do admire Shelley and realise this is the manner in which most novels at that time were written) and was not for me.
